Dirty Like Seth by Jaine Diamond

Blurb:

They all thought they knew him…
but she knew his heart.

Seth Brothers had it all: the hottest album in the world, more money than he’d ever dreamed of, and Dirty—the band he loved like family. But as Dirty hit the big time, Seth hit bottom.

Now all Seth’s got is the guitar on his back, a heart full of regrets, and one last chance to get it all back… including the one thing he never expected.

Her.

Elle Delacroix has it all—talent, money, fame… except the one thing that truly matters.

Love…

The only thing Seth has left to give.

There are two sides to every rock ’n’ roll story;
it’s time for Seth to tell his.

Dirty Like Seth is the third full-length novel in the Dirty series—a rockstar romance series about the members of the rock band Dirty and the women and men who love them.

Novels in the Dirty series are interconnected standalones, each with an HEA; other books (novella/story collection) are not HEA, but are essential pieces of the overall story arcs. (There are ongoing storylines that develop throughout the series; reading them in order is not crucial but is HIGHLY recommended.)

Reading order:
Dirty Like Me (Dirty #1)
Dirty Like Us (Dirty #0.5) (novella)
Dirty Like Brody (Dirty #2)
A Dirty Wedding Night (Dirty #2.5) (story collection)
Dirty Like Seth (Dirty #3)
Dirty Like Dylan (Dirty #4)

Review:

4.5 stars. As with all her other books, Jaine Diamond hits Dirty Like Seth out of the park!  This is the story about Seth and Elle.  As you know from the previous Dirty books, Seth is the former rhythm guitar of the band Dirty while Elle is the bassist.  There are two sides to every story.  What you think you know about Seth isn't necessarily the the truth nor the whole story.  His passion is music and he lost everything when he was kicked out of the band. You also know that Elle was in love with Jesse even though he didn't feel the same way.

This book takes place about 7 months after Dirty Wedding Night (Dirty, 2.5) and is a very enjoyable read.  I pretty much stayed up half the night to finish it because I just couldn't put it down.  To be honest, I wasn't sure that I really wanted to know about Seth.  No, I wanted to jump ahead and read about the other members Zane, Dylan, and Ash.  However, I am so happy that Jaine dedicated an entire book to Seth.  He is a very likable character and you cannot help but feel for him and want for him to be accepted back into the band.   Brody and Jesse have deep animosity towards Seth and while I understand, I just wanted them to allow Seth to give his side AND to listen to Jessa.  He has a history of drug abuse and unlike other books that involve addiction, Dirty Like Seth did not make this the main focus.  Elle is a strong character and a bit of an enigma in the beginning of the other books.  While Elle isn't my favorite heroine (I still reserve the title for Katie), I did really come to like her and wanted her to have her HEA.  One of the things that did annoy me about Elle was the way she handled things with Ash. I felt it was a bit selfish and insensitive which is why I am giving it 4.5 stars instead of 5. The two seems to really compliment each other as well as understand each other.  They have that emotional connection and sexual chemistry.  As with all of Jaine's books, the sex scenes are well done and quite steamy. I am really looking forward to the next installment in the Dirty Series - Dylan's story (and perhaps with Ash as well?)

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
