Friday Book Roundup - What's On Your Bookshelf?

It's Friday!  I don't know about you, but I was slow reading this week.  I am always looking for new authors and great books and I would love for y'all to share what you are reading in the comments.

Here is what I read this week:

I was a beta reader for Kay Harris' Maya's Wish.  This is book 2 in her Wish Series.  Amy's Wish is book 1 and I highly recommend it if you are into office romances).  Maya's Wish can be read as a standalone, but there is some character overlap. Now I don't know exactly when Kay Harris will release this book, but let me tell you that the wait will be worth it.

Who doesn't love a good rockstar romance?  How about a rockstar romance with a bit of suspense?  Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliot released Book 2 in their Rock Revenge series - Rock Reclaimed.  You will need to read book 1 for it to make sense.  It is set in the Oblivious world with some character overlap, but I do believe you can read this series as a standalone but there will be some spoilers.

I am currently reading an ARC of Donna VanLiere's The Christmas Star, which is obviously a Christmas book.  She has a series of other heart-warming Holiday stories that she publishes annually.  While there is some character overlap, The Christmas Star can be read as a standalone.   This book will be released next week: October 16, 2018

Yes, I know that it is this week's book roundup, but I would love to give a shout out to Randi Cooley Wilson.  I read her new release, Vassago last week and I pretty much wanted to stay up all night to finish it.  This is book 2 in her Dark Soul trilogy and you must read Stolas first.  This author does a great job with unique storylines, interesting characters, and world building.  This is a paranormal, romantic suspense.

One last shout out!  Tara Leigh's Throne of Lies, the prequel to Legacy of Lies is live! As this book is  the prequel, the characters are young adults, but I would not categorize this as a YA fiction.  This book does in a cliffhanger, but Legacy of Lies will be released this upcoming Monday, October 15, 2018.  Book 2 picked up 10 years after Throne of Lies.
