She was the puppet.
He pulled the strings.
Now the death toll is rising, what could this mean?
It was all a game. Of feelings. Of pain.
Death is just an illusion, or so they say.
She was just a pawn on a piece of his demented board. But there’s only one question left to settle the score…Can dead people really stay dead?
We thought the games were over...but they’ve only just begun.

4.5 stars This book had me drawn into is web right from the beginning and it kept me on my toes until the very end. Blood and Chaos picks up right where Deception and Chaos ended.
I loved how we got to learn more about Creed and 1/2 the book is told from his POV. My heart broke for the little boy in him many times over. One cannot help but love Creed. Yes, he can be a cold killer, but he has such vulnerability and a soft spot for Sophia. Sophia continues to remain a strong character - a resilient survivor who never gives up. The intense chemistry between them continues to remain smoking hot. I also enjoyed seeing members of the old team - Garrett, Jose, Ricky, Kam - as well as newer characters such as Monte and Clarence.
This book was full of action, suspense, and many twists and turns. There are some scenes of graphic violence in this book so be forewarned. Also, this book does end in a doozy of a cliffhanger and the 3rd book / conclusion will be released next month. I wanted to scream because I hate hangovers, but I am okay with this one because there is no way everything could have been resolved in only 2 books. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and perhaps liked it ever more than Deception and Chaos which says a lot because I loved that book! I received this book for free.
