Julia walks into the sperm bank with plans to create a family, but instead of a match on the microscope, she ends up with three teenage girls and their smoking hot uncle.
Julia Wall loves her job, her quiet life, and reading slow burn romance novels. But she’s losing her sight, and her biological clock is ticking. With a relationship track record she could probably write chick lit about, she knows she’s better off doing it on her own. So she signs up to find her baby romance at a sperm bank that specializes in a personal donor matching experience.
Emilio Thompson is the recipient of an insta-family. Take the death of one older, beloved sister, add in uncaring grandparents, and stir. Next thing he knows he’s raising three teenaged girls on his own. Fresh out of law school, he finds work at his friend’s sperm bank. Contracts and paperwork pay the bills, but he never expected to find his dream girl sitting on the other side of his desk, desperate for a baby.
Julia has everything figured out. And Emilio and his sweet, sassy nieces don’t fit into her carefully constructed plans. But knowing what you want and finding what you need are two very different things…
4 stars Julia’s Wish is book 4 in this author’s The Wish Series and it can be read as a standalone. As with the heroines in the previous books, successful business woman, Julia, makes a wish of what she would like to have accomplished by her following birthday. She has decided it is time to stop waiting around for Mr. Right and fulfill her dream of becoming a mother. I like Julia as a heroine. She is brave in that she is facing a future of blindness, but she isn’t letting that stop her nor the fact she is single be a roadblock in becoming a mother. Emilio is the perfect book boyfriend. He is caring, sexy, and an amazing uncle to his nieces. It was so sweet in watching him interact with his nieces - trying his best to be a good, supportive guardian to 3 preteen/teenage girls. I imagine that can’t be easy!
One of the things that I like about this author is that she always adds that extra element that make her books standout. In Julia’s Wish, she has a strong character who is losing her eyesight. It is clear that the author has done her research and I like how she illustrates that Julia’s impending blindness doesn’t define who she is. Julia’s Wish is a heart-warming romance involving an older woman-younger man that has likable, well-developed characters and an entertaining storyline. If you liked the previous books in this series, then you will enjoy Julia’s Wish! I received this book for free.
OTHER BOOKS IN THE WISH SERIES:

I am a college professor, former park ranger, and anthropologist. People observation is in my blood. I write contemporary romance novels that emphasize character development and dialogue. The situations my characters find themselves in might not be everyday, but they could happen.
I have always loved romance novels of all kinds, and I've been writing love stories since I was kid. It wasn't until I was approaching a very significant birthday that that I decided to write down some of those stories in full length novels.
The Love on Tour series is a coming together of my love of romance and my love of rock n' roll. In particular I am a fan of classic rock (which might be obvious if you read my books). The titles of the books in the series are actually the song titles from one particular artist. If you can guess which singer/songwriter it is you get a gold star!
I grew up in Michigan, have since lived all over the west, including Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, California, and Nevada. I love to hike, am obsessed with museums, and take my 6'5 husband on 'adventures' all over the West.
