EAT. SLEEP. FOOTBALL.

Those are Jackson Jennings, Jr’s three mantras. His entire life, he’s been a trained athlete with only one end-game: the Pro’s. No girls. No parties. No alcohol.

EAT. SLEEP. FOOTBALL.
Repeat.
Every Friday night, Triple J cruises the strip on campus, bored, lonely and conditioned not to party. But the night he meets Charlotte Edmonds on the side of the road, he wonders if his three mantras will ever be enough.

BIG. DUMB. JOCK.
Charlie has no time for Jackson’s antics. Not when he’s stealing her food or teases her to no end, making her tingle in all the right places. But if she’s ever going to have a boyfriend, she’d choose one who isn’t a Neanderthal. One with manners and actual time to spend with her. Not a hulking man-child who cruises the strip at night, in his Big. Dumb. Truck.

REVIEW:
If you love a humorous, enemies-to-lovers college sports romance, than you will enjoy this book.  Some say first impressions are everything and let’s just say that Charlie’s first encounters with Jackson weren’t exactly great.  This gigantic football player was a chicken sandwich stealing thief and the blinding headlights on his huge truck did not exactly endear Charlie to him. He is not your stereotypical playboy football player and I loved that about his character. He oozes Southern charm and is starting to realize that he needs to go after what he wants in life rather than let others try to dictate it for him.  Charlie is a spunky, sassy spitfire who is easily riled up by Jackson, which I found to be hilarious when she would give him a piece of her mind. At times, she frustrated me as she would make assumptions about Jackson, but by the end it was clear she really understood him in ways that others didn’t.  I enjoyed the sarcastic, humorous banter between the two of them and I enjoyed seeing their relationship evolve. This standalone  college romance had the right amount of sweetness, humor, and steam, thus keeping me entertained until the very end.  If you have enjoyed this author’s previous books in this series, then you will want to dive right into Jackson and Charlie’s story.  I received a complimentary version of this book.
