Review: LOVE BY DESIGN by Wynne Roman

LOVE BY DESIGN
Author: Wynne Roman
Genre: MC Romance, Contemporary Romance

This Novella is a part of THE GIRL POWER ROMANCE COLLECTION

Ainsley Burton Needs a Break.

Struggling to keep my father’s business afloat, I take whatever jobs are available — even if it means working for the Hell’s Creed Motorcycle Club. The problem is, no one wants to work with a female contractor, and especially not a group of macho bikers.

So why do I complicate the situation by sleeping with the club treasurer? Talon might be hot as sin, but he doesn’t trust me and I don’t like his attitude. That doesn’t stop me when I get the chance to prove myself and my construction skills, but what about after the project is over?

Can a lady contractor and an alpha biker really find their Happily Ever After?

This is an adult romance intended for mature audiences. Language and sexual situations are explicit. Not appropriate for readers under 18. ♨

More about
Girl Power Collection:
The “Girl Power Collection” is a celebration of feminism in an unprecedented manner and will serve as an inspiration for millions of readers across the globe.

Over the years, men that have made landmark achievements in different facets of life have often been celebrated, with very few stories about bad ass women who have excelled in their respective positions. While there are some works that highlight the fantastic achievements of women in powerful positions, there is no particular project exclusively dedicated to celebrating “girl power.”

This compilation contains short stories with the theme of Girl Power in whichever way the author defines it for herself and her readers. The romance stories are narrated in a diverse yet entertaining and inspiring way and will be released in regular intervals throughout 2020.

To say that I devoured this novella is an understatement. Once I parked myself on the couch and cracked open the first pages of Love by Design, I found myself completely enthralled by the characters and so engaged in the story that I couldn’t put it down! Love by Design is a part of the Girl Power collection, which highlights and celebrates  achievements by women.  This author has created an empowering story that will capture your attention right from the beginning and keep you captivated until the very end.  While it is a novella, a lot happens in this book.  The story is solid and flows well and the characters are remarkably well developed.  While I’d love for Ainsley and Talon to have a full length book, the author does an excellent job in making this novella feel both comprehensive and complete even with such few chapters.

In this novella, Ainsley is a contractor in the construction business - how awesome is that?! I absolutely loved this strong heroine. I found her to be relatable and I admired her perseverance & dedication as she works hard to succeed in a male dominated field. Now, if you love MC romances, then you are in for a treat because the delicious Talon is the treasurer of the Hell’s Creed MC club. He is the type of hero that I love in my romance books in that he has some alpha and protective traits, but he is also loyal and respectful. Talon and Ainsley find themselves ensnared by an instant connection and have some sizzling chemistry between them.  Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this romance. If you are looking for a quick, entertaining, and powerful read, then you will  enjoy Love by Design

Reading and writing have been a part of my life forever. I was that odd child who went to the library during summer vacation, and I was reading romances before I quite realized that's what they were. Years later, my habits are still the same.

As Wendy Douglas, I published two historical romance novels, Shades of Gray and The Unlikely Groom, with Harlequin Historicals. After a long hiatus from publishing, I have returned with new enthusiasm and a different focus. Wycked Crush, the first book in the Wycked Obsession series, is the result.

I was born and raised in northwest Iowa and spent most of my adult life in Anchorage, Alaska. When it came time to thaw out my bones, I moved south to the Texas Gulf Coast where I live with my two very spoiled dachshunds and an assortment of fictional characters visit. Sometimes I win our arguments, sometimes they do, but it's always entertaining!
