Secretly hooking up with the team captain's sister was a bad idea.
In my defense, the first time I saw her I didn't know who she was.
Kind, gorgeous, a little naïve. Ginny brightened my world from day one.
I knew I was no good for her. She was just out of a relationship and I had a reputation for having a new girl in my bed every weekend.
I tried to do the right thing. Honest.
I'm the one who insisted we should be just friends.
That lasted about as long as you'd expect.
But Ginny? She's the best--best friend, best everything.
So yeah, hooking up with the team captain's sister wasn't a great idea.
Would I do it again?
In a heartbeat.

Secret Puck is a fun and enchanting college, hockey romance set in this author’s Valley U world. It is a friends-to-lovers romance, but also a secret romance within the big brother’s friend trope. I absolutely adore this author’s style of writing with her immensely likable & relatable characters and engaging storylines. Secret Puck is relatively low on drama & angst with a good dose of humor and steam all making it a vastly entertaining and enjoyable read. Both Ginny and Heath are easy to love. Ginny is naive in some ways, but only slightly and not annoyingly so. I love her kindness and I was able to identify with her on many levels. Heath is both adorable and scrumptious. A notorious player, he doesn’t quite know what to do about his attraction to Ginny. The two of them together are perfect and I enjoyed watching their relationship evolve.
The secondary characters make an entertaining contribution to the story with all of their unique personalities and camaraderie thus making me eager for each of their own books. I also was delighted with the cameos from some of the characters in this author’s Smart Jock series. Plus, Nathan from The Fake is Heath’s older brother. Overall, I really enjoyed this NA romance and Secret Puck is now one of my favorite novels by this author. It is a book that left me with a smile on my face.
