He was lost when I found him…
Everyone says that Cary Clarke, former rock star and reclusive music producer, is crazy.
That he fell apart after the death of his best friend.
That he shut everyone out and locked himself away.
That nothing matters to him anymore but music.
Maybe they’re right.
I don’t even know why he let me in.
I was only supposed to meet him once. But then once turned into so much more.
When I look into his eyes, there's just something about this man I can't walk away from.
And the deeper I get into his world… the less I ever want to leave.
Maybe I’m crazy to fall for a man whose heart is already broken.
Maybe I should’ve known this could only end in more heartbreak—for both of us.
But when you find something this precious in the darkness, it’s only natural to want to bring it out into the light… no matter what it costs you.

Lovely Madness is a phenomenal, gripping read with its original storyline & uniqueness of characters that put me through a roller coaster of emotions. From heartbreak to swooning, from tears to laughter, and from despair to hope, this emotionally charged romance was so beautifully written that I couldn’t help but be immersed within the pages of this book.
Cary is a former rock god turned music producer. He is an enigma with people referring to him as a hermit, a recluse, and an eccentric. As the hero, his complex character is intriguing and unlike any other that I’ve read before. I adored him, but I also hurt for him as well. I positively loved Taylor. She is a vibrant heroine with a caring nature and demonstrates great patience and understanding when it comes to Cary. In fact, I would love to have just a drop of her patience! It is no wonder that she could be the woman to help heal Cary’s tortured soul and reveal his strength and huge heart. The two may seem like an unlikely couple, but together they are perfect.
At times, this was a heart-wrenching read, but there were also moments where I was ready to use a fire extinguisher on my kindle because the chemistry between Cary and Taylor was spectacularly intense. Then there was scenes I was howling with laughter at thanks to the antics of the secondary characters. If you’ve read the earlier books in the Player series (and even some from the Dirty series), then you will be thrilled to meet up with some of the favorite characters.
Lovely Madness is book 4 in the Players series and can, in theory, be read as a standalone. However, I do believe that the reading enjoyment of this book would be greatly enhanced if the previous novels were read. If you are looking for an enthralling rockstar romance with an intriguing plot and perfectly imperfect characters that elicits all the feels, then I definitely recommend this book.
