How far would you go to get the family you crave?

Piper Newton is a respectable person in the community, or at least that's what she wants people to think. Raised by a crack whore mother and in constant fear of her disgusting pimp boyfriend, Piper never knew what true family was. After a life changing event, she meets Reggie who changes her life forever. Finally having the family she longed for all her life, Piper will go to any lengths possible to keep them safe. Until she meets Ollie.

Ollie Parker craves being part of a family again after his is tragically stolen from him. When he meets Piper she offers him the world, but it comes at a price. Ollie discovers that some prices are harder to pay than others, and he must decide if Piper and his new family are worth the cost.

Piper is the first book in the new Managing Mischief series. This crazy, gritty, and sexy, dark romance by Emma Luna is torturously good and you don't want to miss out.

Author Note - this book is intended for readers over the age of 18. It features scenes that may be a trigger for some people. Please email for more details.

Piper was originally released as part of Torture: A Charity Halloween Anthology but it has been extended, edited and an epilogue added to develop it into the first book in the Managing Mischief series.

Where to begin as this book was so not what I was expecting, but behind the stunning cover of this novel is a story that is exceptionally creative, partially terrifying, and steamy.  I read a lot and I love the dark & twisted but Piper is the twistiest of the twisted and deliciously dark.  I had no idea what I was getting into with this quick read and to be perfectly honest, I truly was uncertain about it all in the beginning but my curiosity as to how all it would unfold kept me fully engaged.  The world building within this novel is well thought out, the underlying story is original & interesting, and the twists were unexpected.

Piper has got to be one of the most fascinating/disturbing/slightly unhinged heroines that has ever existed.  With a bit of a superiority complex, Piper is stunning and has such confidence in her beauty that she knows she can have any man that she chooses.  Yet family and control are her greatest desires.  I am not entirely certain that I like her BUT she is truly intriguing and her uniqueness of character is part of what make this novel so enticing.  As for Ollie, let’s just say you need to read the book and I’ll leave it at that. Piper is a relatively quick read that is full of heat, torture, complex characters, and some good surprises.   I suppose I should just say, dare to get out of your comfort zone, expect the unexpected, and enjoy the ride because you won’t regret it!  Oh and there is a bit of a cliffhanger so don’t mind me while I not so-patiently wait to see what Ollie and Piper are up to next!

It’s not difficult to see why my body calls to Ollie’s. When I look up from my position in the middle of the bed, my legs spread wide, my most delicate parts on display, I see Ollie sitting on the bottom of the bed, looking at me like I’m the most beautiful thing he has ever seen. But he isn’t looking at my perfectly designed body, surgically enhanced tits, or blonde hair. He is looking into my eyes and it makes me feel more naked than I am, like he sees the real me. A side of me I’m not even sure I have ever seen, if she exists at all. In his eyes, she does.

About Emma Luna

Emma Luna is a midwife and lecturer who lives in Cambridgeshire, UK, despite her heart still very much being Northern. She lives surrounded by her crazy family; her Mum, who is her best friend and biggest fan; her Dad who helps her remember to always laugh; her Grandparents and Brother who can never read what she writes, her gorgeous Nephew who lights up her world and her long suffering man-child Boyfriend who she couldn't live without (but don't tell him that!).

In her spare time she likes to create new worlds and tell the stories of the characters that are constantly shouting in her head. She also loves falling into the worlds created by other authors and escaping for a while through reading.

When she's not adulting or chasing her writing dream she loves dog-napping her Mums shih-tzu Hector, chilling curled up on the sofa with her Boyfriend binge watching the latest series or movie, drinking too much diet coke (it's her drug of choice), buying too many novelty notebooks, and completing adult colouring books as a form of relaxation. Oh and she is a massive hardcore Harry Potter geek. Ravenclaw for life!

Thank you for taking a chance on a newbie author - hope you enjoy and come back for more!
